Sports Massage Therapy
|
A
muscle is a muscle, whether it's in a human or in a horse, and when a
muscle gets sore, it aches. Why not massage these hard-working muscles on
a four-legged creature, just as you would on a two legged one?
Horses are like people. They need range of motion, flexibility and peace of mind in order to train and perform successfully. Sometimes tight spots develop in muscles, hindering your horse's performance and causing discomfort. Through massage, we allow oxygen and blood flow to return to these areas, relieving the stress and returning soundness to the equine athlete. The
therapeutic application of hands-on massage techniques increases
circulation, relaxes muscle cramps and spasms, relieves tension, enhances
muscle tone and increases range of motion in high performance horses, as
well as the backyard equine companion.
